Vegan biscotti, bitches!



This biscotti is soooooo good and to be honest a pain in the ass to make. Worth it though!

RECIPE:

Heat your oven to 350°F

Grab two separate bowls

Bowl #1

  • 1 cup of all purpose flour.

  • dash of salt

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar or whatever ya got.

  • raw or toasted sliced almonds

Bowl #2

  • 4 TBS unsweetened apple sauce or two apple sauce cups.

  • 1 TBS olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/2 tsp almond extract

Combine the two bowls of ingredients. The texture of the dough should be “gummy-ish”. Basically, it’s going to stick to your hands.

You must line your baking sheet with parchment paper or this recipie will go straight to shit.

You can take the dough and roll it on a lightly floured countertop and then place it on the baking sheet and spread the dough into a circle or square shape... honestly it’s not easy so whatever starts to form first.

Put it in the over to bake for 20 minutes.

After 20 mins take it out and let it cool for 5-10

THEN, use a serrated knife to cut the pastry into 1inch slices.

Flip them all on one side and put them back in the over to bake for 5 mins.

Take them out and do the other side.

TAKES FOREVER.

When they’re nice and crispy all around take them out for the last time and let them cool. I drizzled mine with 70% dark chocolate and they were perfect. Store em’ in the fridge and enjoy all week!
